The City of Elgin understood their need to connect with their residents in a more efficient manner. A 311 call center was determined to be the best solution. The Call center would be expanding as the popularity grew. This was a high profile project located in City Hall.
311 Director, Colby Basham, turned to the City’s previous vendor of furniture for City Hall offices for options. Extensive design options were considered to maximize head count and efficiency in the space. ROI suggested the Catapult series paired with Maxon fabric panels as the most cost effective and durable solution. ROI provided drawings and specifications to the City for bidding purposes.
ROI was awarded the project after being the low cost provider. Within 4 weeks of award of contract the furniture was installed. The City now has a fully functioning 311 call center with state-of-the-art technology and furniture. Call center stations with sit and standing options were created along with private offices, and a conference room to better interact with the residents of Elgin.
